Honey and Clover

Honey and Clover (ハチミツとクローバー) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Chika Umino. It is also known as HachiKuro (ハチクロ) and H&C. The series was also adapted as a live action movie, which was released in theaters in Japan on July 22, 2006. I actually watched the movie by DVD. It was so warm and lovely movie for me. 

Hagumi Hanamoto is a genius artist and she has a kind of magical overtone. Yuta Takemoto falls in love with Hagumi. Yuta is living in an apartment complex with Takumi Mayama and Shinobu Morita and they are students at an art college in Tokyo. Shinobu is also a genius artist. Hagumi and Shinobu found something same feelings in their hearts. I really like the story and the music in the movie.

Many people still remember, the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. It was the most powerful earthquake on record in Japan with the huge tunami. The earthquake and tsunami also caused extensive and severe structural damage in north-eastern Japan, including heavy damage to roads and railways as well as fires in many areas, and a dam collapse. The tsunami caused nuclear accidents, primarily the level 7 meltdowns at three reactors in the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant complex, and the associated evacuation zones affecting hundreds of thousands of residents. The World Bank's estimated economic cost was US$235 billion, making it the costliest natural disaster in world history.

So many people, they are in temporary compunds still and there is very difficult situation there but it is returning to normal steadily. We wish the earthquake victims can get back their life as early as possible.

At the time in Japan, the cell phone was not working. People have to use the public phone to contact their family but nobody cut in at the middle of the line. People line up perfectly for a long time. So many poeple run into a grocery store or convinence store because of food shortages but nobody stole anyting from the stores. Japanese people pay the groceries with large tolerance. Japanese line up perfectly at the stations. We saw the beautiful orderly mind there. They got a huge damage by the earthquake but we rediscover that they have a heart of gold, sprit of cooperation, calm judgment, go for the happy medium, kindness and great manners. Everybody in the world acclaimed such attitudes of Japan and Japanese.

There are so many wonderful stuff made by such people. We introduce amazing Japanese stuff like Japanese DVD (movie), Japanese book, Japanese Manga (comic book), Japanese Snack and Japanese electronics etc. We can find so many wonderful stuff in the world but there is a lot of remarkably stuff in Japan too. The Japanese split of year's experience is in their various products. 

The intent and purpose of Astro Shop Japan is to let people in the world know about such wonderful Japanese products. Space (the universe) is still unknown. We know about it just a little bit. These Japanese products are still unknown for some people in the world too. Hence the name of our shop. We also loves Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atom) by Osamu Tezuka though.
